The Training Days weekend will take place from 21/10 till 23/10/2022, in Kortrijk!
The Training Days are the highlight of the year at JEF Belgium!
During one week-end, 40 young people from Belgium and elsewhere gather to meet, exchange ideas but most importantly to get trained and initiate projects together. The Training Days aim to promote active citizenship, mobilise young people and develop their skills to empower them as change-makers.
They are both a moment of cohesion for the members of the Belgian JEF sections, and also the perfect opportunity for newcomers to dive into the world of JEF and develop new skills (communication, project management, public speaking, advocacy, etc.). The aim of this weekend’s workshops is to provide participants with skills that they can use in JEF or elsewhere!
📣 FRIDAY
- From 6pm : arrival & welcome
- Dinner, get to know each other, chill evening
📣 SATURDAY
- Workshops : public speaking, citizen activism and climate, communications, dealing with hate speech, Model EU, youth and EU elections
- Action plans and project management
- Meeting with politicians : Guillaume Defossé, Belgian deputy & Kortrijk local politician (tbc)
- Restaurant and night out
📣 SUNDAY
- Workshops : team management & leadership, youth activism and participation
- Action plans and project management
- City tour
